AS Monaco striker Park Chu-young from South Korea netted his sixth goal of the season Wednesday in Monaco's 1-1 draw with Le Mans.
Park, 24, tucked home a cross from Francois-Joseph Modesto in the fourth minute in the second half, leveling the game held in Le Mans to 1-1. Le Mans was leading the game as forward Thorstein Helstad played Anthony Le Tallec in with a headed pass and Le Tallec unleashed a low shot in the 36th.
It was a goal for his third straight game, following one in Monaco's 1-0 win over State Rennais on Dec. 17 and another in Monaco's 1-1 tie with Olympique Lyonnais on Dec. 21. This is the first time that Park has scored goals for his third straight game.
Park raised his goal tally in France's League one to 11. He joined AS Monaco last year.
Monaco maintained its 12th place in the league with 27 points on eight wins, 3 draws and 7 losses.

박주영 3경기 연속골 … 시즌 6호
박주영(24.AS모나코)이 프랑스 프로축구 무대에 오른 이후 처음으로 3경기 연속골을 터트렸다.
박주영은 23일 프랑스 르망 스타드 레옹-볼레에서 열린 2009-2010 정규리그 르망과 원정경기에서 0-1로 끌려가던 후반 4분 동점골을 넣어 1-1 무승부를 이끌었다.
지난 17일 스타드 렌과 홈 경기(1-0 승) 결승골, 21일 올랭피크 리옹과 홈 경기(1-1 무승부) 동점골에 이어 3경기 연속골이자 시즌 6호 골이다.
이로써 지난 시즌 모나코에 입단한 박주영이 프랑스 리그에서 뽑은 통산 득점은 11골로 늘었다.
모나코는 현재 12위로 8승3무7패(승점 27)를 기록하고 있다. |
