호텔 캘리포니아 Hotel California

 

 

On a dark desert highway Cool wind in my hair
The warm smell of colitas Rising up through the air

어두운 사막 고속도로 시원한 바람이 내 머리를 스치네.
따뜻한 콜리타 향기가 바람을 타고 나라 오네.

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dimmer
I had to stop for the night

좀 떨어진 곳, 빛이 보이고.
머리는 무겁고, 시야는 어둡고.

하룻밤 묵어야겠군.

There she stoodin the doorway
I heard the mission bell And I was thinking to myself,

현관에 한 여인 이 서있고.
미사 종이 울리고 잠시 생각 하길.

이게 꿈이야 생시야.

 

Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor.
I thought I heard them say Welcome to the Hotel California.

 

그녀는 초에 불을 붙이고 길을 안내하네.
복도 저쪽에서 한 음성.

호텔 켈리포니아에 오신 것을 환영합니다 라고 하는 것 같고.

아름다운 곳 아름다운 모습.
호텔 켈리포니아에는 방도 많아요.
언제고 오실 수 있어요.

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes benz
She got a lot of Pretty, Pretty boys that she calls friends

그녀는 보석 생각을 하고, '메세이드 벤츠` 차도 있어.
그녀는 아주 잘난 친구도 있고.

How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

그들은r 마당에서 어찌나 춤을 잘 추던지, 땀을 뻘뻘 흘리면서.
어떤 이는 회상하려 추고, 어떤 이는 잊으려고 추네.

So I called up the captain, 'Please bring me my wine.'  He said,

내가 주인장을 불러 와인을 달라고 하니.
1967년 이후로 술은 팔지 않습니다 하네.

호텔 켈리포니아에 오신걸 환영 합니다.

이렇게 멎진 곳, 이렇게 멎진 모습.
호텔 켈리포니아가 이들의 삶의 터전 입니다.
놀랍죠, 살아갈 동기를 주잖아요.

Mirrors on the ceiling, The pink champagne on ice
And she said `We are all just prisoners here, of our own device`
And in the masters chambers, They gathered for the feast

천장엔 거울, 얼음 위엔 샴페인.
그녀는 우린 이곳에 가친 것 같아요 우리의 나름 수단을 가지고요 라고 하죠.
잔치를 위해 그들은 주인의 방에 모여.

They stab it with their steely knives, But they just can`t kill the beast

칼로 가축을 잡으려 하지만 죽이지는 못해요.

Last thing I remember, I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before

마지막으로 기억 나는 것은 문을 찾아 갔던 것.
다시 돌아 오려고 했건만.
