데이비드 베컴 여성 리포터로부터 성추행 당해

 

축구스타 데이비드 베컴(35.AC밀란)이 이탈리아 방송사 우노에서 공식 사과를 받았다고 AP통신이 22일(이하 한국시간) 밝혔다. 통신에 따르면, 이 방송국의 인기 프로그램을 진행하는 여성 리포터는 지난 20일 다른 사람과 인터뷰를 하는 베컴에게 접근했고 몇 번의 기회를 엿보더니 순식간에 그의 가랑이로 손을 넣었다.

방송 취지는 속옷 광고를 통해 겉으로 보이는 베컴의 신체를 실증해보겠다는 것으로 해당 방송국은 사실상 성추행을 기획했기때문에 국내외 여론의 뭇매를 맞고 있다. 사건 후 이 여성은 알마니 속옷 광고 속 베컴의 모습과 실제 그의 사이즈를 비교하는 것이 나의 미션이었다”고 변명한 것으로 전해져 더욱 놀라움을 주고 있다.

하지만 베컴의 대변인은 “문제 삼을 것 없다”며 “베컴이 당시에는 놀랐지만 그냥 해가 될 것이 없는 장난으로 보고 있다”고 말했다. 할리우드 관계자들은 만약 리포터가 남자고 피해자가 여성이었다면 법적인 처벌을 받을 수 있었다”며 사건의 심각성을 일깨웠다.

Italian TV presenter Elena Di Cioccio leapt from a crowd and grabbed David Beckham's crotch as he gave a TV interview, according to news reports. The AC Milan star looked startled and jumped back as she was dragged away by security, Mirror reported. Before her lunge at Goldenballs, Elena said she was going to find out if he really is as bulging as his Armani poster ads depict, the report said. It has been suggested the pictures were digitally manipulated to beef up his manhood. Elena told viewers of her show Le Iene (The Hyenas): "We have seen photos of David Beckham in his undies and very well endowed. We wanted to find out if he is that big."

The report also said as guards pulled her away, Elena, wearing yellow gloves, delivered her damning verdict. She yelled: "I touched it, it's small. David you have conned us. What did you use? Cotton wool? It's a trick." His spokesman said: "It surprised him, but David saw it for what it was, harmless fun. She didn't grab it. She just got his trouser leg."

The clip has become a YouTube hit. But one fan said: "If a male presenter did this to a woman there'd be an outcry," according to the report.

Later the Italian television channel has apologized for the prank. According to AP, Beckham's spokesman Simon Oliveira says he has "no issue with it. It did surprise him at the time, but David saw it for what it was harmless fun."

Beckham is on loan at Milan from the Los Angeles Galaxy. He has started all three league matches in 2010 and is expected to play in Sunday's derby against Inter Milan.
